Ok... so it seems like, yet again, people have been coming to LJ rather than xanga, esp. with the muhlenberg community....

Hoh-kay.

So i'll post here for a while.

Ok..... so classes have started...

but who really cares.

I've already been busted for my illegal air conditioner. I think it's cause we blew out the electricity twice in 2 days.

I've already been wasted. When I was, I first continually poked Katie and Mel in the side of the head just for the fun of it. And then was volunteered, and almost aggreed to pull the kia back to school from tremont, rather than driving. My wonderful friends also thought about having me walk back to campus, right next to the car. but when I asked to sit in the trunk, they decided I was to drunk to walk, let alone participate in "Kia Pull 2004"

I've already trashed my room. I hate cleaning. That is why, right now, on my desk is a tv remote, glasses, 2 fish tanks, a frisbee i got from ye olde muhlenberg tavern (aka woodys, but ye olde muhlenberg tavern is a cooler name), no-doze, a thing of bagels, a box of coco pebbles, some dirty dishes, and tropical drink umbrellas

I've already almost puked up Muhlenberg food. I thought I was gonna die. Or maybe it was the applebees nachos i ate. hmmm... either way thats why also on my desk is a huge thing of tums cause i have heartburn like an old person. And my moms response to me telling her i think i have acid reflex? "I think you probably just drink too much beer." WTF???

I've already stolen caution tape from ORS and and made a border around my door. Soon I will go to Taylor and caution tape Courtney into the room. Why Courtney, you may ask? Easy answer. Cause she will freak, and gets all the guys. But we still <3 her.

I've already exhausted the following jokes:

-talking in strange voices and saying to my friends, "would you be my friend if I talked like this"

- making retarded faces and asking my friends, "would you be my friend if i looked like this?"

- repeating the harry carey questions over and over.

- Shfifty five.

Next week is rush. This should be interesting.

ok, so i havent posted in a while. like a month. maybe more. too badsky. anyway, heres is a brief update on whats going on with me

I got into Muhlenberg!!!!!!!!!!!! im so excited!!!!! yay!!! I'm gonna be a Muhlengerg Mule, lol!!!!!

The senior trip kickes ass. yea, the place was a dive and the food was horrendous, but i had the bese time.

my car is about to die. the hood is frozen shut so i cant put oil in it, and it think it will spontaniously combust one of these days.

Katyas coming in 2 weeks. im really excited!!!!!!

I'm slowly beginning to get over rob. i also havnt seen him in about a month. im gonna see him tomorrow night.i sorta miss him, but in a friendly sorta way, not an o-my-god-im-going-into-withdrawal sort of way

im done getting ready for congress. now i just have the mini con to plan.

i love everyone so much more after the senior trip, esp. april, tina, angelo, lauren nucci, jerry and richy. i had so much fun with all of them. and w/my roomies (xcept 1- im so evil) and christine carbellano.

i went to sing last night

dina and i went to a team gop meetiong this morning.it kinda sucked.

im now at my aunts house in westchester... needless to say, im bored.

i am somehow on some "fair elections committee" for JSA. i dont know why i signed up 4 it, but i did. now i apparently have to go to a thing up i Conn. on Jan 10. yes. very exciting.

im only gonna do it to help out kevin. if he wins his election, he'll be good for staten island. and tech. rar.

wow. two days in a row with like nothing to do.......

i did research for my bill for the JSA winter Congress last night, while i babysat scrub. oh my Lord. its a bill to ban partial birth abortions. holy shit. i saw so many horrible pictures and read so many terrible stories that i couldnt sleep. and when i finally did fall asleep, i had dreams about those poor little babies. its just sick. i now have to rethink my postistion on abortion, yet again. shizer.

i hope the JSA people actually went home this weekend and spoke to their parents about Congress. when you think about it, 300 isnt that bad for like 3-4 days in DC and transport.

a brief rundown of the last week.......

monday~i took the avalon and got caught. i left my planner and my jimmy eat world cd in there, and my mom found them. im a big idiot.

tuesday~ JSA debate. did really badly, but still managed to win, and win best speaker. i just dont have it together right now. i had no research, or anyhting. Ugh! i was so bad. it was terrible. i was mad at myself.

wednesday~ mucho work, = meeting with Rob, and dropping off gifts to send home to St. Petersburg with a girl whos here on Lauder. I didnt get home till like 10. i missed the West Wing, and was mad. Im a loser.

thursday. snow, and my sister lauren won a DVD player at a christmas fair at her school

friday~bad news for T.E.A.M. GOP. Leticia Remauro, the current Republican Committee Chair, is resigning her post. I have no idea how thats gonna affect all the work Rob and I have done this far, but I hope it wasnt all in vain. Shit. Im really upset about it. Rob says we should keep going on with our work, but I'm a little apprehensive. Rar on everyone. i worked with Rob at the office for a while last night, then came home and went to applebees for marisa's bday. it was fun.

today. for the first time in a really long time, i have nothing to do....... amazing.......... i just dunno wut to do w/myself. i think ill wrap christmas presents, lol. i need to get something for Lee. but what? hmmmmmmmm.......

im back from PA. i bet noone even knew i was gone. i was in Lancaster for the holiday with my family, my grandparents, and my aunt and her family.

we fought for the entire weekend.

now its time to gater around as a family and put up our christmas tree. erica and i really dont want to be anywhere near my parents or lauren and lawrence, but what can you do? rar.......

i met with rob on tuesday night to work on T.E.A.M. GOP stuff. its so much work, and i just feel like i kind of got randomly thrown into it..... shizer. OK, so were hanging out and stuff and i asked him what he was doing for his birthday (which i could have sworn was on thrusday, the 28th). he goes "this" his birthday was on the 26th. i felt like such an asshole for scheduling someting on his bday, i cant even tell you. omg. i felt so frigging bad.

for the first time in a while, i attended every single one of my classes. go me.

im gonna have a busy day tomorrow.

my mom has this intense desire to go to the tech christmas fair. I have recently realized that the best way to deal with my parents is by appeasement, and therfore, i will probably go with her. rsr. i hate christmas fairs. theyre always cheesey. then, i have a T.E.A.M. GOP meeting at 5pm. what a shitty time. dina, my cusin emily, and other people are coming. after the meeting, dina, and ashley are coming over and were gonna watch natural born killers, for bennett's class. i just love the idea of ash hurley watching a movie called natural born killers, lol. mad funny.

i now have to take scrubber to a birthday party at fun station USA. fun fun.

State Set To Add To Visa Rules

MOSCOW - In a continuing effort to tighten up migration policy, the State Duma has given preliminary approval to a bill expanding the grounds for denying entry to foreign nationals or expelling them from the country.

The bill, which also establishes new visa categories, consists of amendments to the existing law on entering and leaving Russia. The legislation passed 340-0 in its first reading on Friday.

"The aim of the legislation was not to make everything as easy as possible. Its main aim was to protect the citizens of the Russian Federation and the state," the bill's author, Duma Deputy Nikolai Ovchinnikov, said by telephone Monday.

Some of the new criteria for expelling foreigners or denying them entry are based on the law on foreigners, which took effect Oct. 31, while others are new altogether. The legislation was developed with input from an interministerial working group headed by Kremlin Deputy Chief of Staff Viktor Ivanov, a former KGB officer and a long-time colleague of President Vladimir Putin.

Under the propsed rules, foreigners legally residing in or visiting Russia could be kicked out if they are deemed to pose "a real threat to the state's defense capabilities and security, to public order or to public health." Such decisions would be made by the Interior Ministry, but the procedure for making them has yet to be determined. Foreigners ordered to leave on these grounds would have three days to do so. If identified ahead of time, foreigners who pose security risk would not be allowed to enter the country at all. Also banned would be those who fail to prove that they have enough money to support themselves while in Russia; those convicted of intentionally committing a crime during a previous stay here; those who have been deported from the country; and those whose presence in Russia is "undesirable."

A procedure for determining "undesirability" has not yet been established, Ovchinnikov said.

Categories of foreign visitors who could be denied entry, but wouldn't be banned automatically, include drug addicts and people with infectious diseases that could pose a public health risk. They also include foreigners who have been called to account for administrative violations - such as traffic tickets or disturbing the peace - on Russian territory two or more times within a three-year period, and those who have had some restrictions imposed on them as a result of convictions in Russia or abroad. Ovchinnikov predicted that a significant number of changes would be introduced before the bill reached the critical second reading and that, if it was passed, a raft of by-laws would be needed to set up mechanisms for implementation.

If the bill becomes law, it could mean inconveniences for foreigners who live in Russia for more than half a year at a time and hope to make their lives easier by getting the new temporary residence permits introduced by the law on foreigners. Temporary residence can be granted for a three-year term to eligible foreigners planning to be in Russia longer than 90 days. But, under the proposed legislation, the visas required for those seeking such permits fall into the single-entry category; therefore, each time temporary residents leave Russia, they would have to get new visas to come back.

The proposed legislation establishes five types of visas: regular, transit, temporary residence, diplomatic and official. While the first four types already exist, the last is a new category to conform with the law on foreigners, which does not include concrete provisions on visas. The "regular" visas are further broken down into eight types: business, study, private, tourist, tourist group, work and refugee visas and visas for cultural, political, athletic, religious and scholarly or scientific exchange, pilgrimage, charity work or humanitarian aid deliveries. The bill also splits visas into single-entry, double-entry and multi-entry with respective terms of three months, six months and two years. However, foreigners with multi-entry visas, despite the two-year term, would not be allowed to stay in Russia for more than six months at a time; they would have to leave and re-enter the country.

On an optimistic note, the bill attempts to stimulate tourism by waiving visas for foreign tourists who come to Russia for less than 72 hours on cruises.

i can no longer carry the weight ofthe entire chapter on my shoulders. i simply can not do it.

i am way too busy. i havnt posted in like forever, and i only have like 5 min to do so now. I've been helping out at the republican headquarters. it's an awesome place. i feel like im learning sooo much. im like never at home anymore. all i do when im there is clean, or homework, anyway. starting today, my weekend is gonna be nuts. heres whats on tap

-republican fundraiser at the excelsior grand, where I'll meet the governor!!!!!!! omg!!!! im sooo excited!!! this is what i have to buy clothes for.

i want to call SVA and thell them that i am a prospective student, and want to spend a day there. then ill tell them that the only type of student i want to be paired up with is an freshman animation engineering student, who is black, a girl, and a commuter from staten island. i wonder if they'd pair me gina then, lol. jkjk. i could never go to art school.
